Common questions
How many images can I get per search term? +
Up to 1,000 per term, but Google usually stops earlier: about 300 to 400 images for a common term. Rare terms return fewer.
Do I get the full size image or a thumbnail? +
Both. image_url is the original file on the publisher's site with its real width and height, and thumbnail_url is Google's small copy.
Can I reuse the images I find? +
The actor gives you links, not rights. The usageRights filter narrows results to images Google believes carry a Creative Commons or commercial license, but check the license on the source page before reusing anything.
Do I need a Google account, an API key or a proxy? +
No. The actor reads Google's public results page signed out and uses Apify's Google search proxy, which is included in the price.
What does it cost? +
$2.09 per 1,000 images on the Bronze plan, $1.79 on Silver and $1.49 on Gold and above, plus a $0.005 start fee per run. Failed and empty results are never charged.
