Common questions
How many comments can I get from one video? +
From 10 to 20,000 rows per video, set with maxComments. Replies count toward the same limit when Include replies is on.
Does it work on Shorts? +
Yes. Paste Shorts links or their 11 character IDs in the same videos list.
Are like counts and dates exact? +
Like counts below 1,000 are exact; above that YouTube shows a rounded figure. Dates come from relative times such as 3 weeks ago, so published_at is approximate.
Do I need a YouTube account or an API key? +
No. The actor reads YouTube's own web requests, not the YouTube Data API, so there is no key and no daily quota.
What does it cost? +
$0.20 per 1,000 comments on Bronze and every other plan, plus a $0.005 start fee per run. Status rows for private or comments off videos are never charged.
